Clerkenwell Pollinator Path Next Steps!
It was so great to see everyone from across the community contributing and coming up with ideas at the pollinator path results event. Following the very interesting talks, everyone began brainstorming ideas about what to do next.
There were so many important ideas that we will take on board and use to determine what we will do next. From surveying the wider community and influencing education to an awareness campaign and making it a citizen science project, there was a very wide range of ideas.
There was also an extensive array of suggested goals for 2026 including getting more people involved, creating diversity of habitats and water harvesting.
The main ideas that stuck out:
Sharing templates, top tips and favourite plants
Workshops to improve planting and propagation skills
Hotel making workshops
Roof Garden and balcony idea swaps
Sustainable pollinator water sources
More SuDS (sustainable drainage systems)
Using existing raised beds/planters to help the pollinators
Resurvey sites, take data and report at the end of 2026
Connecting the small, fragmented spaces.
We really enjoyed being a part of this amazing event and we hope you enjoyed the evening too. Recording of the Pollinating London Together presentation is still available on Instagram @stjohnsgarden.ec1
